I'm Andrea Hancock, the owner of Hancock Business & Creative Services. I help nonprofits and small business teams bring more clarity, structure, and strategy to the work they are trying to move forward. My work includes grant strategy and proposal support, business systems, creative materials, website and email support, and the behind-the-scenes organization that helps small teams operate more smoothly.
I didn't start as a grant writer. I started as someone doing the work nonprofits are trying to fund. Through years of nonprofit leadership, creative arts programming, and executive operations, I learned firsthand how much strategy, structure, and behind-the-scenes coordination it actually takes to sustain meaningful community work.
As a board-certified music therapist, I understand service-based work from the inside. I know what it feels like to run programs, manage limited resources, communicate your value clearly, and keep up with the administrative work that supports meaningful community impact. That perspective shapes how I approach every project — whether I’m supporting a grant proposal, organizing business systems, refining website language, or creating materials your audience will actually understand.
I especially enjoy working with nonprofits and founders in arts, creative wellness, disability services, human services, education, and community impact spaces.
